Geoffrey Monks, sixty seven, (accurate) who ran The Snooty Fox in Kettering (inset) was wrongly jailed after East Northamptonshire Council claimed to have found 'mouldy ham' interior the premises in 1999. Following 5 greater phantom infractions, Dr Monks become hit with the-then greatest fine on checklist for breaching meals safety offences - £25,500 plus his felony fees of £8,300. After losing his groups and his domestic, Dr Monks failed to pay his fines and was sent to highest safety HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes. Taxpayers are now set to foot the invoice after Dr Monks agreed a 'seven figure settlement', believed to be in the location of £14m, with the local authority that went bust in 2018.
