Beads, sequins, feathers and yarn are stitched to make a single piece, regularly inside the constraints of embroidery hoops.
Her embroidery is dense, crammed with coloured threads and even clam and snail shells, which had washed up on seashores and were accrued by way of Julie all over one of her many go back and forth trips.
